My Transfer of watercolor to canvas

January 29, 2010
To all of you who were interested in transfering Watercolor to Canvas.
I just finished trying the project myself and here are my thoughts now on the subject.
First of all you really need to use plenty of glue and press out all the buckles on the paper, which I didn't do as well with. Then when I applied the varnish with such a lg brush, which I was told was better than smaller, I guess I pressed too hard on it and smeared the paint a small amount. Also the varnish seemed to make me lose some of the color, don't know if it was because of how I applied it or not.  Will need to do more practice on this since I was not satisfied with all my efforts and costs of supplies. I was glad I started with a fairly dark painting since I lost a lot of color.
Let me know how yours turns out.
